Interiors

A collected sample of interior page design from past projects, presented as inspirations for your future projects.

From Scholarly Pursuits, an anthology of queer cozy academia short stories. Each story featured: a different drink spilled/stained on the page, customized graphical scene breaks, drop caps on the first story paragraph.

From The Wish of a Dragon, a book about a scholar leaving his world and traveling to the stars to figure out who and what he might be. Features in-universe epigraphs at the start of the chapter.

From The Culture of Burnout, a non-fiction book that explores exhaustion, burn-out, and solutions. Features an excerpt in a pull-out rectangle, and page edge marking to show progress in the book.

Same as the previous, but this is a photograph of the printed book (on cream paper) showing the epigraph and the story’s text starting below.

From A Truth Universally Acknowledged, an A4 and full color anthology of stories and art inspired by Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice”. The background frames the stories and other elements and, through the whole book, presents as a gradient from dark blue to arsenic green.

From Dimidium Animae Meae, a fanfiction where animal motifs are important to the characters. Each chapter header featured an illustration corresponding to one of the characters.

From Missed Fortunes, a book where each sections are preceded by the characters’s in-universe tarot reading journals. The left page features the tarot spread as discussed with the author, and the right page the interpretations of the characters. The format is different on these pages from the story itself.

From Hockey Bois, a hockey romance novel. It features a text exchange between the characters, set differently from the story’s text (and from other social media through the book).
