A monster lurks under Otar’s skin.
It has destroyed lives and Otar fears the moment it will escape his grasp again. But he isn’t the only thing that seems out of place in this world: mysterious ancestors, the Ancients, left behind nothing but ruins and questions.
Otar is living on borrowed time, after an accident has devastating consequences.
Then his mentor summons him to a newly discovered ruin. On his journey Otar faces down slavers, and his former lover — who still makes his heart beat faster.
When the excavation site finally reveals the truths about the Ancients, it’s Otar’s connection to his monster that could save them all from a catastrophe. Will he be willing to sacrifice it all?
